TRAINING
TANKERING COORDINATOR
Location: Croydon
Job Purpose:
To achieve the department objectives in line with the corporate strategy and vision for which the job holder is directly responsible and continuously improves performance. The Tankering Co-ordinator will report to the Planning and Programme Manager. The role will be responsible for the co-ordination of tankering operations and the programming and production of tankering civils schemes work.
Principal Accountabilities / Objectives:
The Tankering Co-ordinator will work closely with the Civils and Reactive Team, client, Programme Manager, sub- contractors and the Planning and Programme Manager.
Produce regular updated reports for Tankering operations including; KPI planned v actual, profiled spend by work type and sub-contractor, baseline v revised v actual durations, completed schemes, awaiting information and target pricing.
Work closely with the clients, reactive, Planned and Schemes Works Programme to ensure that all work is programmed by the reactive, planned and Schemes Team.
Ensure that the Reactive & Civils Team are aware of any new work that needs programming, and also identify if there are opportunities to optimise overall efficiencies through highlighting potential slippage or work finishing earlier than planned.
In conjunction with the Reactive & Civils Teams allocate resources and look to balance our activities to ensure best use of budgets.
Oversee the distribution of sub-contractor task orders ensuring that all instructed works are processed.
Work with the Noticing Co-ordinator to ensure that the reactive planned work dates are notified in good time and the right type of notice is requested.
Ensure that all submitted CEN’S/ EWN’s that will affect the schemes programme comply with the NEC3 Contract legislation.
Create, update and monitor CEN/EWN register for each quarter.
Ensure that at least once a month time is taken to visit a selection of tankering jobs to gain a better understanding of what has been programmed and to gain a better understanding of what constraints can affect programming.

Competency: Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
Be fully proficient in Microsoft Project and Asta Power Project as programming tools and be able to produce detailed programmes for multi task activities that are linked by resource or milestones.
Able to assess programme timescales and logic from knowledge gained from exposure to site activities and agreed outputs.
Able to produce the spend profile for the Planning and Programme Manager.
Have a good understanding of construction procedures and risks.
Able to prioritise work.
Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
Have a good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and Ch 8 requirements
Able to manage, support and coach junior staff.
Enjoy working with IT systems and programming. Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Enjoy working in a large team.
Ability to multi task and work well under pressure.
