CPCS TANKER & JETTING TANKER OPERATIVE

Location: Croydon

Job Purpose:
To achieve the department objectives in line with the corporate strategy and vision for which the job holder is directly responsible and continuously improves performance. To assist the Operations Manager in the delivery of Tanker operations for the London South Waste Network Contract.


Principal Accountabilities / Objectives:
To carry out three monthly van & equipment audits reporting any defects to the operations manager.

To carry out daily internal and external vehicle & equipment checks reporting any defects to the operations manager out the south London area

Ensure all personnel are smart and conform to the company standards
Ensure the yard, mess and external areas are kept clean & tidy via a rota system

To assist the Operations Manager in the resolution of any disputes that may arise

To actively contribute to the development of new systems and best practice

To promote customer excellence ensuring a quality and professional service is given at all times

Dealing with drainage works at domestic, commercial and private sites.
To deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

Completion of site specific risk assessments on all sites, providing accurate and effective feedback and plans.

Report to management any defects in equipment, materials and report to management all accidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses,
Uses equipment for the purpose which it was intended as long as training has been undertaken for the equipment.

Maintains tools and equipment to ensure that they are fit for purpose and are in good condition.

To carry out plant and stock check on a weekly basis.

Conducting Jet vac and tankering operations throughout WNS region
Working on busy roads in & around London

Delivery against contract KPI/SPI targets

Competency: Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
LGV Combination tanker driver with C entitlement, DIGI-CARD and relevant experience.

Previous experience on drain cleansing using high pressure water jetting machines preferred.

Duties include transportation of liquid solid wastes in combination tankers, transportation to registered disposal sites, attending emergency callout's for flooding and sewer problems.

We operate a 24/7 service, you will be included on a call out rota to include weekends and nights, which requires flexibility.

Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to our industry

Operations utilising Van packs in the south London area


Desirable
Credit 1 legal and ownership responsibilities for the sewerage system and customer care
Credit 2 drain and sewer cleaning with high pressure water
Credit 3 cctv inspection of private drainage systems
High Pressure Water Jetting Association Competency Training
Hygiene Standards Pass
Knowledge of BS EN 13508: Part 2 Sewer Classification
NRSWA Units 1-4
